A feis is an opportunity for dancers of a like age and grade to compete against each other in an open arena. Feis is an irish word and when translated means ‘festival’.
The feis often has live musicians and will most definitely have a live audience.
Dancers at a feis represent their own dance class and can travel from all over the world to participate.

Steps
A wide diversity of dancers will be present at the feis, its key to remember that it will not be like class where everyone does the same dances, don't be distracted by others doing things differently.
